How does VacationCompare get paid?

VacationCompare does not charge you any fees for its services. The travel agents and suppliers in our network pay in the form of fees and commissions.

How do you get agencies to compete for my business?

We send your travel quote to five agencies in the VacationCompare Network. They operate under the knowledge that other agencies are reviewing your quote request at the same time they are. In order to get your business, they must make an extremely competitive offer.

How do I get started?

It’s simple. From the home page, select the vacation or cruise you want and complete our online quote request form. Once you’ve found the trip you are looking for, it takes about 2 minutes to join and complete the form.

We do not sell or share your information. At VacationCompare, your personal privacy and the security of your personal data are a primary concern of ours. How Much Will I Save?

Because VacationCompare has no influence in the pricing decision, we do not offer or list fares on our site. The fares, pricing strategies, and added value services are different for each Agency and Supplier participating on our Network.
Instead of spending hours clicking from Travel Website to Travel Website trying to find the best deal, all you have to do is enter your quote request - and we'll give you up to five great bids to choose from. It's really that simple.

Can I phone, mail, email or fax in my request?

VacationCompare is committed to sending your quote request to Travel Agencies quickly and accurately. Using the mail, email or fax would introduce the possibility of transcription errors, unnecessary delays and additional costs - which would reduce the benefits of using VacationCompare! That is why we only accept quote requests through our online forms or over the phone where we can confirm the information you provide.

How will I find out which Agencies are reviewing my quote request?

We'll send you the names of the Agencies who are reviewing your travel request via email.

Can I negotiate directly with the Agencies?

Absolutely. You are under no obligation to accept the Agencies’ first offer. In fact, if you've received a better offer from another Agent, we give you the opportunity to tell the Agent about it through our Web site. In most cases, when you receive your travel offers, we will provide you with contact information for each Agency. Feel free to contact the Agency directly to discuss their different areas of expertise and value-added services.

How will I find out about my travel?

Each Agency will post their decision about your quote request on our Web site, usually within minutes. When each Agency posts their decision, we will notify you via email. If your quote request was sent to five Agencies, you will receive five emails. Each email will tell you which Agency has responded. To find out the Agencies responses, go back to our home page at www.vacationCompare.com and log into your account. If it's been one business day since you completed your quote request and you haven't received an email, you may still have an offer. Please go to our home page and check.

If I enter my email address incorrectly, how will I find out about my travel quotes?

It is critically important that you enter your email address correctly when completing a quote request. We use email to communicate with you when Agencies make a decision about your quote request. VacationCompare is not responsible for any errors or delays in responding to a quote request caused by an incorrect email address provided by you or other technical problems beyond reasonable control. However, if it's been one business day since you completed your quote request and you haven't received an email, you may still have an offer. Please go to our home page and check.

I don't know my password. How can I find out what it is?

When you completed your quote request, we provided you with a password on our confirmation page and asked you to print out the page and keep it in a safe place. If you no longer have this page, don't worry. We'll also send you your password when we send you an email notifying you that an Agency has posted a decision. You may also retrieve your password by visiting our home page and clicking on "Check My Quote Status." From there, click on, "Forget Your Password?" Fill out a short form and your password will be emailed to you immediately.

How do I compare the Agencies’ offers?

It's important that you evaluate all of the terms of each offer before you choose the one that's best for you. Although price is an obvious factor, many Agencies in our Network offer additional benefits including free trip insurance, on board ship credits, limousine service etc.

I've accepted an offer. How do I book my trip?

After you accept an offer, you will need to communicate with the Agency directly (via email or phone) to complete the booking process.

I live outside the United States. Can I use VacationCompare to find a vacation or cruise?

You may. However at this time, we only service requests for travel that originates in the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.

How do I check my quote status?

You may check the status of your quote request by returning to our homepage at www.vacationCompare.com. Click on the "Login" link next to "Already a Customer?" at the top right of the page. You will be asked to enter your email and password.

How do I cancel my request for a quote?

We are sorry that you do not wish to continue with your travel quote. As soon as you submit your request, we try to match it with Agencies in our Network. If your travel request has been referred to an Agency, you must contact that Agency directly to cancel your request. The Agency’s contact information is included in the details of your travel offer.

What if I don't want to give you my phone number?

We request your phone number to ensure that we receive accurate information. For this reason, we encourage you to enter correct information in the phone field. If you are worried about privacy, please check our privacy policy to see how VacationCompare protects your information.
